The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in metadata management, data lineage, data quality engineering, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a blend of technical acumen and soft skills to drive change management and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement an enterprise data governance framework from the ground up.
• Map data flows from source to consumption, maintaining data catalogs and tracking metadata.
• Define data quality dimensions and establish enterprise-wide quality benchmarks.
• Develop and maintain business glossaries to ensure uniform data definitions across business units.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and implement data access/security controls.
• Facilitate change management initiatives to promote new data habits and cultural standards.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to bridge communication gaps.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
• Expertise in metadata management and data lineage.
• Strong understanding of data quality engineering and standardization.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239).
• Exceptional change management and governance adoption skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with data stewardship and program operations.
• Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in data governance or data management are a plus.
