Investment Banking Analyst

The Investment Banking Analyst supports both the Investment Banking team and the Office of the Group Managing Director (OGMD) through financial analysis, research, modelling, and project delivery. You will sit close to live transactions and to executive strategy, contributing to deal execution, market intelligence, pitch development, and high-priority projects. This is an analyst seat that rewards speed, precision, and commercial maturity — you'll be trusted with real work early.

Key Responsibilities

1. Investment Banking — Transaction Execution & Deal Support

• Build and maintain financial models (DCF, LBO, Comparable Companies, Precedent Transactions).
• Support execution of M&A, ECM, and DCM transactions through analysis, research, and documentation.
• Prepare Information Memoranda, pitch books, proposals, and client-facing materials.
• Coordinate due diligence — data rooms, trackers, and deal progress updates.

2. Market & Industry Research

• Conduct market, sector, and competitor research to inform deal positioning.
• Produce industry reports, company profiles, benchmarking, and valuation summaries.
• Provide current market intelligence for internal decisions and client engagement.

3. Business Development & Client Support

• Support mandate pitches with strong, evidence-based materials.
• Support senior bankers in meetings; ensure outputs are accurate and compelling.
• Contribute transaction ideas and market-driven insights.

4. Project Management & Team Delivery

• Manage multiple analytical workstreams; deliver quality under tight timelines.
• Collaborate across deal teams and internal functions to execute effectively.

5. Office of the Group Managing Director (OGMD)

• Translate financial, market, and qualitative data into executive-ready insights and options.
• Track milestones, risks, and dependencies; prepare dashboards and management reports.
• Monitor industry and competitor developments; write concise executive summaries.
• Draft briefs, reports, memos, and presentations; support board-quality materials.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years' experience in Investment Banking, Financial Advisory, Consulting, or Corporate Strategy.
• Strong command of valuation, capital markets, and corporate finance.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling.
