Senior Specialist Lead Med Staff Services SNE

A Day in the Life 

• Sr Specialist Lead – Medical Staff Services will serve as the key Medical Staff Office contact for local CMO, local medical staff leadership, committees, sections, and departments and provide MSO resources for continuity of medical staff organization activities.  Participate in other hospital committees, as appropriate.  Responsible for all local medical staff office related duties, including working closely with the system credentialing office as it relates to initial appointments and provider reappointments.

What’s Required  

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field, or equivalent experience. 
• Strong ability to work independently, and as part of a team including peers and medical staff leaders/members.
• Experience performing medical staff and/or credentialing functions preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM) and/or Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or eligibility and willingness to be certified is required. Exceptions may be made based on extensive applicable background.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards as they relate to Medical Staff Services preferred.
