Join the Market Leader in Electric Power Data and Analytics Solutions

The electrical grid is the largest and most complicated machine ever built. Yes Energy’s industry-leading electric power trading analytics software provides real-time visibility into the massive amount of data generated by the North American electrical grid daily. Our unique and innovative view of the data informs real-time trading decisions and mid-to-long-term investment decisions that keep utility prices low, support the energy transition, and keep the grid running. It’s both challenging work and work with a purpose.

Be a part of our successful, growing business during international transformation.

As an Engineering Manager on the Yes AI initiative, you will build and lead the Bucharest engineering team responsible for bringing this product to life. You will collaborate with leaders in technology, data, and energy to build and deliver solutions and tools for handling the highly complex problems posed by the evolving power grid. You will also work directly on projects to integrate systems and serve energy data to customers. We are curious people who take pride in our work, value high-quality communication, and strive to improve continuously.

  • Serve as the primary bridge between the Bucharest team and cross-functional stakeholders (product, data, domain experts, sales enablement)
  • Stay close enough to the technical work to contribute meaningfully to architecture discussions and remove blockers quickly
  • Own team health metrics: delivery predictability, quality, and engineer satisfaction

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years as an engineering leader with a servant leadership mindset
  • 2+ years managing engineers and shipping complex products in an agile environment
  • Hands-on software development background — comfortable reviewing code and discussing architecture
  • Passionate about creating and improving efficient software development practices.
  • Track record of growing engineers' careers and building high-trust team dynamics
  • Strong communicator; proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Track record of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver great products.
