JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join us as a Training and Development Specialist II and make a meaningful impact by collaborating with project or program leads to deliver and improve learning services, executing training governance processes in the Learning Management System (LMS), and ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with stakeholders across functions to manage Learning Management System (LMS) activities to support business outcomes and industry compliance.
- Supporting small projects that mature key learning programmatic capabilities and refine internal processes for the department, including process mapping and workflow automation.
- Delivering training services in LMS for the business.
- Performing special projects, assignments and administrative tasks per business needs.
- Supporting adoption of AI-based solutions for training.
- Providing “train-the trainer” sessions and Q&A support for management staff regarding development materials.
- Managing appropriate documentation (i.e. assessments, Training Attendance Log, workplace aids, etc.), including copying, sorting and filing.
- Communicating with system administrators to ensure issue resolution and proactive implementation of new training items.
- Creating support materials, presentations, tools, simulations and training on the appropriate use of the LMS and compliance.
- Collaborating to operationalize Knowledge Management principles across CDSD repositories.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience in training/development, preferably in pharmaceutical or other regulated industry
- Preferred Fields of Study: Education, Life Sciences, Business, Organizational Development, Knowledge Management
- Demonstrated expertise in LMS administration and maintenance
- Basic understanding of business process optimization and process improvement fundamentals
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; ability to create flows in Power Automate and to use PowerBi preferred; experience as Administrator of Learning Management Systems; ability to use generative AI in line with ThermoFisher’s framework for the Responsible Use of AI and with appropriate security safeguards
- Effective ability to query, compile, enter, track and maintain data and records management systems
- Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Close attention to detail and strong organizational skills to deliver high quality work within project timelines
- Proven ability to deliver learning services in a collaborative and cross functional global environment, with an understanding of the user perspective
- Ability to think critically and translate issues into actionable business solutions
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills in English
- Ability to work flexible hours to support global operations
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
