Job description
The Associate Data Engineer I will help build, maintain, and optimize data infrastructure - like databases and data pipelines - that address cross-functional critical business needs. This role is expected to improve existing methods and processes by using various languages to pull and manipulate data, develop and maintain ETL pipelines, implement quality control and monitoring processes to maintain accurate data flows, maintain comprehensive documentation of process designs, test results, and pipeline configurations, etc.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data solutions to address business challenges.
- Demonstrate knowledge across a range of technologies related to programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, and data visualization and analysis.
- Responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing data infrastructure.
- Ensure data is collected, processed, and stored efficiently and securely.
- Integrate different data sources and create the foundations on which analytics and data science can operate.
- Understand the broad objectives of projects as well as position's role in achieving objectives; modify approach when required.
- Escalates issues to ensure execution success and keeps stakeholders informed through effective verbal and written communication.
- Learn, understand and master new methods and technologies, and act as a resource or mentor for others.
- Produces and maintains required technical documentation associated with work products.
- Adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science or relevant field.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, R, or SQL.
- Prior exposure to data engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interacting with APIs to extract data.
- Hands-on experience using large language models and machine learning algorithms.
- Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML in clinical or pharmaceutical contexts.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this roleat the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
