Job description
The All Day Dining Hostess serves a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences. They provide warm, professional, and personalized service to restaurant guests. They act as the first point of contact for guests, warmly welcoming them, managing reservations, and guiding them to their tables. With a keen eye for detail, the hostess ensures the smooth flow of dining operations, coordinating with the culinary and service teams to deliver impeccable service. They possess excellent communication skills and in-depth knowledge of the hotel's dining offerings, ensuring guests receive personalized recommendations and assistance.
Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in hospitality, hotel management, or related field is an advantage.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant is preferred. Background in guest service, guest relations, or front-of-house operations will be highly valued.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with guests, colleagues, and other departments. Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
Guest Service: Strong service orientation with a warm, professional demeanor. Ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs while managing challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
Interpersonal Skills: Team player with strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively across departments.
Organization & Time Management: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Food & Beverage Knowledge: Familiarity with food and beverage service, menu items, and dining etiquette. Knowledge of different cuisines, wines, and beverage pairings is a plus.
Professional Appearance: Impeccable grooming, poise, and professionalism in line with luxury brand standards.
Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
