Job description
Why join Giga
- The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
- The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
- The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
- The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.
What you'll do
As Project Scheduler at Giga, you'll own the integrated master schedule across every active project in our portfolio. This is a high-stakes, high-visibility role where the schedule isn't a reporting artifact; it's the operating system for how we build. You'll develop fully integrated Engineering, Procurement, Vendor, Construction, and Commissioning schedules from the ground up, drive weekly rhythm with all stakeholders, and be the first person in the room when the critical path moves. If you're the person who turns a blank P6 file into a living, decision-driving schedule that keeps a data center on track this is your role.
Where you'll work
We are an in-office culture — velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure, and the best decisions happen in the room. This role is based at GigaEnergy HQ with regular travel to active construction sites across Texas and California.
That said, we will make exceptions for truly exceptional talent. If you're the right person for this role, we'll have a conversation about what works.
Responsibilities
- Develop fully integrated, logically tied, and resource-loaded schedules spanning Engineering, Procurement, Vendor, Construction, and Commissioning phases across all active GigaEnergy projects.
- Own and maintain the integrated Level 3/4 master schedule from concept through energization, incorporating design milestones, long-lead procurement, permitting, construction sequences, and commissioning handoff.
- Monitor, analyze, and report the critical path and overall project performance; surface schedule variance (SV) and schedule performance index (SPI) with actionable context for leadership.
- Analyze scheduling and project data with an innovative approach, translating raw progress into clear, decision-ready outcomes for engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Create “what-if” scenario schedules showing viable alternative paths to achieve project objectives, accelerate delivery, or reduce schedule and cost risk.
- Ensure scheduling tools are progressed and updated weekly with all stakeholders across multiple concurrent programs, maintaining accurate and meaningful outputs at all times.
- Sequence modular equipment delivery and installation against site infrastructure readiness.
- Work with the permitting team to incorporate jurisdictional review timelines, de-annexation, and utility coordination milestones into the integrated schedule.
- Assist field teams with the creation of 3-week look-ahead schedules; validate contractor look-aheads against master schedule logic.
- Use clear and effective communication methods to escalate risks and communicate successes to project teams and executive leadership.
- Produce ELT-ready executive schedule dashboards concise, visual, and exception-based.
- Facilitate weekly schedule review meetings; document decisions, risks, and action items.
- Interface with GC, subcontractors, and equipment vendors to validate schedule commitments and drive recovery where needed.
- Maintain schedule documentation in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC Docs) per GigaEnergy Document Management SOP, ensuring version control and milestone traceability.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on project controls experience.
- 7+ years of scheduling experience on large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, mining, government, and/or oil & gas construction projects.
- Direct scheduling experience with proficiency in Primavera P6 required; expert-level CPM schedule development, logic-tying, and resource loading.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel schedule analytics, milestone tracking, EVM calculations, and scenario modeling.
- Deep knowledge of Critical Path Methodology and Earned Value Management, with a demonstrated history of successful schedule reporting, compression, and mitigation efforts.
- Ability to work within a high-performance team with sometimes tight deadlines.
Bonus points
- Experience on modular or prefabricated construction projects; familiarity with module sequencing, skid-based delivery, and PEMB procurement cycles.
- Background in data center construction, energy infrastructure, or substations.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or comparable CDE platforms.
- PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) or AACE PSP certification, or actively working toward it.
- Exposure to Texas or California permitting timelines, utility coordination, and de-annexation processes.
Benefits
- Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
- Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
- 401(k) with 4% employer match
- Unlimited PTO
- Parental leave
- Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)
- Commuter benefits
- Monthly team on-sites where all offices come in-person to collaborate
Who we hire
We hire people who thrive in chaos and get sharper under pressure. You don't wait to be told what to do, you spot the gap and fill it. When there's work to be done, you do it. You make decisions with the information you have, move fast, and adjust along the way. We're not looking for perfect; we're looking for people who get things done.
