Job description

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.

Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.

The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you. What we do:

The Open TTD team builds and owns The Trade Desk’s integration portal, a platform that connects advertisers, data providers, and inventory sellers to our DSP ecosystem. We deliver user tailored experiences across three distinct audiences: Advertisers, Providers, and Sellers, each with tailored dashboards, technical documentation, self-service tooling, and onboarding flows. Our team operates across the full stack, from the public-facing marketing landing page through authenticated management experiences, building the infrastructure that enables TTD’s external partners to discover, integrate, and operate at scale.

What you’ll do

  • Design and build high-quality, scalable web experiences within the Open TTD platform, including persona-based spaces, shell architecture, and embedded application integrations.
  • Contribute to backend services and APIs that power the portal, including authentication flows, access control, search, documentation authoring tools, and partner onboarding.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and partner engineering teams to translate complex requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions.
  • Own features end-to-end: from scoping and design through implementation, testing, and production monitoring.
  • Drive technical quality on the team: participate in design reviews, code reviews, and help establish patterns and practices that scale as the platform grows.
  • Help evolve the technical architecture of OpenTTD to support new personas, embedded applications, and integrations with The Trade Desk’s broader platform.

Who you are

  • You have strong frontend and full-stack development skills, with production experience building complex web applications- ideally large-scale portals or developer-facing platforms.
  • You are comfortable working across the stack: modern React-based frontends, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and backend services in languages such as C# or similar.
  • You communicate clearly with both technical teammates and non-technical stakeholders, and you can reason about trade-offs in a way others can act on.
  • You care about code quality and maintainability. You write code that is easy to understand, test, and evolve — and you raise the bar in reviews for others.
  • You are energized by ambiguity. OpenTTD is a high-visibility, greenfield initiative, and you’re excited to help define what it becomes rather than waiting for full specifications
