Company Overview
At Aditum Bio our mission is to rapidly translate scientific discoveries into new medicines. Co-founded by industry veterans Joe Jimenez, former CEO of Novartis and Mark Fishman, former President of the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, the firm in-licenses promising therapies and advances them into Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical studies to enable proof of concept. The firm focuses on the translational phase of medicine to generate data that can support full clinical development, and eventual market launch, to reach patients in need.
Position Summary
The Senior Director, Business Planning & Analysis is a key strategic partner to the Aditum Bio fund and portfolio company leadership, responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis, forecasting and performance insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. This role focuses on financial planning and plays an important role in strengthening budgeting discipline, forecasting accuracy and reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models for portfolio companies and internal operations
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and variance analysis
- Develop long-range strategic planning processes
- Track and analyze actuals vs. budget; identify key drivers and variances
- Assist in cash planning, runway analysis, and capital allocation decisions
Operational Finance
- Improve and streamline financial reporting processes and tools
- Support implementation and maintenance of financial systems and dashboards
- Assist with ad hoc financial and operational analyses as needed
Strategic Planning Support
- Partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives and business planning
- Build models and analyses to inform key decisions (e.g., program prioritization, resource allocation)
- Develop materials for internal and external stakeholders, including board decks and investor updates
- Support investment and diligence activities, including financial modeling and scenario analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 7 years of experience in FP&A, preferably with experience in both, a lean biotech environment and in established pharmaceutical companies
- Familiarity with drug development process and timelines
- Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
- Experience building and maintaining complex financial models
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong track record of working effectively with cross functional partners and senior management
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
The range for this full-time position is $260,000 - 280,000, plus a target bonus, equity compensation and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on our postings reflects the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by interview performance, job-related skills, experience and relevant education and training. Please note the range reflects base salary and does not include target bonus, equity or benefits.
