We’re looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with deep experience building and scaling SaaS platforms in distributed cloud. This role requires a hands-on development experience with strong technical knowledge of networking fundamentals, microservice architecture, and deliver complex, distributed systems while working with team members and driving cross-functional alignment. 

 You’ll be responsible for design and development of scalable microservices, defining engineering best practices, and helping shape the future of our SaaS platform Data Plane components. This is a highly influential role focused on delivering performant, secure, resilient and reliable solutions that aligns with business objectives. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop and maintain applications using Go and C++, with a focus on scalability and high availability in distributed cloud environments.

  • Drive design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with product strategy.

  • Implement and enhance unit test infrastructure to progressively increase test coverage, ensuring high-quality software that handles boundary and edge-case scenarios

  • Develop scalable, enterprise-grade data-plane components and APIs.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and coding standards.

  • Take ownership of software components, delivering complete solutions that meet functional, scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.

  • Shape cross-team technical direction and ensure alignment with best practices in scalability, security, and observability

What You Bring 

  • Proficiency in C++ and Golang, with a strong track record of contributing to complex software development projects.

  • Proven hands-on experience in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab, CI/CD) 

  • Strong understanding of OSI layer networking stack, NAT, DHCP, DNS, TCP, IPv4/IPv6

  • Good memory and CPU profiling understanding and drives independently optimisation or refactoring the existing code

  • Good Linux system concepts like file management, namespace, process management and memory management.

  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills with a track record of owning mission-critical systems 

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring teams and influencing technical direction 

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of L3/L4/L7 networking, data-path packet processing software engineering experience in cloud-native environments 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
