You will work from 08:30 to 17:10, at least 1 day per week, and you must be available for at least 6 months. AAP Animal Advocacy and Protection is a European animal welfare organization dedicated to the welfare of exotic animals. Our mission is to end their suffering by rescuing animals in need and advocating for better laws and regulations. As a volunteer in animal care, you will contribute directly to a better life for our special animals. All our animals first go to quarantine to acclimate and be prepared for their new life. For these animals, the quarantine enclosures must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected according to protocol. In the Primate team, you will work with rhesus monkeys, Barbary macaques, Japanese macaques, green monkeys, and baboons, among others. What will you be doing? You work under the supervision of an experienced animal caretaker and focus primarily on cleaning tasks in and around the animal enclosures (this accounts for 60% of the work every day). You also create enrichment for the animals, feed them, assist with setting up the enclosures, and perform minor technical maintenance. Additionally, you report on details regarding the animals' nutrition, behavior, and health. What do we offer you?
