- Support plant chemistry scope including dosing, sampling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water/steam cycle applications.
- Prepare and maintain core engineering documents such as P&IDs, calculation notes, interface documents, and technical dossiers.
- Evaluate supplier offers, review supplier documentation, resolve technical queries, and ensure alignment with customer and company standards.
- Manage technical interfaces across suppliers, customers, project teams, and internal engineering functions.
- Support tendering activities by reviewing specifications, identifying risks, and defining the technical approach.
- Provide technical support during project execution, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting, including occasional site support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and development initiatives within the CEMS and plant chemistry scope.
- Perform Laboratory analyses required for development of new technology or troubleshooting of power plants.
- Travel to power plants all over the world on short notice for troubleshooting and customer support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in CEMS, plant chemistry, or related power plant systems.
- Strong experience in emission monitoring systems, including gas analyzers, instrumentation, and package engineering.
- Strong knowledge of plant chemistry systems, including dosing, sampling, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and water/steam cycle chemistry.
- Experience developing technical specifications, reviewing supplier documentation, and supporting procurement and execution activities.
- Experience in laboratory water analyses like ion chromatography.
- Experience in commissioning support and troubleshooting is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Desired Characteristics
- Strong technical ownership and sound engineering judgment.
- Able to work independently and lead technical scope with limited supervision.
- Clear communicator with strong collaboration skills across global and cross-functional teams.
- Practical, solution-oriented, and focused on quality, delivery, and customer needs.
- Comfortable working across both detailed engineering and field support activities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site support and commissioning
