Operations Manager 2

Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for placing orders for store associates, and to review the purchase orders for the stores in incumbent’s specific area. Additionally, the position includes supplying passwords to release stock orders and trace existing orders and answering questions posed by store associates.

Responsibilities

Review purchase orders (commodity and non-commodity)

Assist stores with general questions (serving as a liaison between stores and office)

Reduce excess dormant inventory by yard transfers or arranging buybacks with Purchasing

Relay important company information via office call fax.

Place orders for the stores to take advantage of appropriate key time discounts

Trace all late and rush purchase orders

Spreadsheet/Internet Software

Inventory Software

Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
