Job description
Resumen Is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by developing, implementing, and improving production processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, troubleshoot production issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsabilidades Mains Responsibilities: Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Support the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and productivity. Investigate and resolve production-related issues using root cause analysis methodologies. Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Participate in continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and capacity assessments. Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to achieve operational objectives. Assist in the introduction of new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes. Monitor process performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Support cost reduction initiatives and productivity improvement projects. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Participate in process validations and equipment qualifications. Generate and present reports related to manufacturing performance metrics. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience 0 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or a related field. Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge and Skills Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, etc.). Familiarity with manufacturing processes and production systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams. Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability studies. Familiarity with AutoCAD or other engineering software. Basic project management skills.
