Data Engineer (Python Focus)

Main Tasks

• ETL Framework Development: Participate in designing, developing, and implementing modular ETL frameworks.
• Pipeline Optimization: Maintain and improve existing data solutions; feel confident diving into the codebase to suggest and implement structural improvements.
• Modern Engineering Practices: Apply modern development principles to daily workflows, including version control, containerization, deployment, and data governance.
• Infrastructure & Automation: Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable and reliable data delivery.

Requirements

• Solid Python Knowledge: Medior-level proficiency with strong core programming skills (note: Python is not actively used for data transformation in the current project phase).
• ETL Architecture Understanding: Practical experience in building and structuring ETL solutions. You don't need to overthink it, but you must understand how these systems live and breathe.
• Modern Dev Toolkit: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with CI/CD, IaC, version control, and containerization.
• Foundational SQL: Solid foundational knowledge of SQL (though it is not actively utilized in the current daily tasks).
• Cloud Literacy: A good general understanding of the cloud ecosystem and concepts.
• Autonomy & Ownership: Ability to take a defined task, see the big picture, and solve it independently. You know how to make confident decisions post-onboarding, but you also know your boundaries and when to align with the team.
• English Proficiency: Communication-level English (both oral and written). You need to be able to understand tasks and express your ideas clearly, but perfection is not required.

Advantages (Future Tech Stack)

• Hands-on experience or strong interest in Spark, Airflow, or Terraform.
• Experience with AWS Data Engineering services (as the project's long-term roadmap moves closer to the AWS cloud environment).

On-site presence: 2 days per week at our client's office
