Do you enjoy working with animals and do you have experience in animal training? And would you like to contribute to the welfare of our primates as well as to high-quality biomedical research? Then you might be our new animal trainer. Animal Trainer Animal welfare is central at BPRC. We have our own colony of over 900 macaques, most of which live in social family groups in spacious enclosures with plenty of opportunities for play and climbing. As an animal trainer, you are an essential part of the Primate Behaviour & Colony Management Team. You work closely with our primates and animal caretakers on a daily basis, with the aim of enabling the animals to cooperate calmly and voluntarily in husbandry, medical procedures and research. By minimizing stress, you contribute not only to the animals' welfare but also to the quality and reliability of research outcomes. What you will do You will work extensively with the primates and collaborate closely with animal caretakers, veterinarians and researchers. Your main focus will be coordinating the animal training programme.
