Job description
Personal Care Aides (PCAs) provide compassionate, extraordinary, personal hands-on care
where each resident’s health and well-being is of ultimate importance.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in shift reports and review resident care plans to understand daily needs
Conduct regular rounds and assist residents with morning routines
Provide general personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
Assist residents with mobility, daily activities, and use of personal devices
Encourage resident engagement in activities, social events, and dining
Support residents with communication needs, such as phone use or simple correspondence
Maintain clean, organized resident living spaces and complete personal and household laundry
Monitor and restock personal care supplies
Assist residents with shopping, organizing personal items, and making purchases respectfully
Help maintain a safe environment, including basic upkeep of furniture and equipment
Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience:
• Six months to one-year related experience or training Specific business experience with
older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred.
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED
