Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and improving cloud architectures, deployment pipelines, and infrastructure systems that support large-scale applications across multiple cloud environments.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and internal platform teams to ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence. This role also includes driving engineering best practices, contributing to architecture decisions, and participating in production support through on-call rotations.

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes and Linux container tools
• 4+ years of experience with CI/CD and GitOps workflows/tooling
• 3+ years of experience with Python and Python web development
• Experience leading projects and designing complex technical architecture
• Experience operating production services on cloud infrastructure
• Strong Computer Science foundations
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to Have

• Experience with Django and/or Django REST Framework
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with low-latency customer-facing applications
• Experience with DAG pipeline tools (Temporal, Airflow)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, etc.)
• Experience driving cloud cost efficiency and optimization
• Experience operating SQL databases in production (PostgreSQL preferred), including replication, backups/restore, query tuning, and schema migrations in CI/CD

General context of the position:

• Contract Type: 100% remote contractor position (additional contractual details will be defined at a later stage). Compensation will be based on hours worked and paid monthly.
• Duration: 1 year with possibility of renewal
• Work Schedule: aligned with U.S. time zones.
• Equipment: The contractor must use their own laptop or desktop computer.
• English Level: B2 or C1/C2.
• Interview Process: One interview with Bertoni, 1 screening with partner, 2 tech interview with partner, 2 interviews with final client.
