Job description

Position Overview

The Roller Skater Supervisor is responsible for supervising, leading, and motivating the Roller Waiter team to deliver a dynamic, safe, and memorable food & beverage service experience. This role ensures service excellence, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and alignment with Rixos brand standards in a high-energy, entertainment-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Supervision

  • Supervise daily operations of the Roller Waiter team during assigned shifts.
  • Lead by example in service attitude, skating skills, grooming, and guest engagement.
  • Coach, train, and mentor Roller Waiters to consistently meet Rixos service standards.
  • Ensure proper staffing, duty rosters, and task allocation based on operational needs.
  • Conduct daily briefings, performance feedback, and on-the-job training.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Ensure all guests receive friendly, professional, and engaging service in line with Rixos standards.
  • Proactively handle guest feedback, service recovery, and complaints, escalating when required.
  • Monitor service flow, order accuracy, delivery time, and guest satisfaction.
  • Support upselling initiatives and promotional activities to drive revenue.

Operational Control

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures for the Roller Service operation.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation of service areas at all times.
  • Monitor operating supplies, minimize wastage, and support inventory counts.
  • Ensure Roller Waiters have full knowledge of menus, promotions, and outlet concepts.
  • Coordinate closely with kitchen, bar, and other F&B outlets to ensure smooth operations.

Safety, Skating & Compliance

  • Ensure all Roller Waiters comply with skating safety procedures and approved skating routes.
  • Monitor floor conditions and immediately address safety hazards.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of roller skates/blades and protective equipment.
  • Enforce compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Rixos policies, SOPs, and ISO Integrated Management Systems
    (ISO 9001, 14001, 22000, 10002).

Training & Pre-Opening Support

  • Support pre-opening activities including SOP testing, service rehearsals, and mock operations.
  • Participate in training development for roller service concepts and safety procedures.
  • Assist management in implementing new concepts, events, and service enhancements.

Administration & Communication

  • Prepare shift reports and communicate operational issues to management.
  • Ensure clear handovers between shifts.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall guest experience.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Food & Beverage service within a 4–5 star hotel or lifestyle resort within same level role.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong roller skating ability is mandatory.
  • Experience in entertainment-driven, poolside, beach club, or lifestyle F&B concepts is an advantage.
