About The Role

An opportunity exists for a Senior Advisor- Land to support the Land and Tenements team, based in the Murray Basin, with regular travel to sites in Western Victoria and southwest NSW. 

Reporting to the Principal Advisor – Land, this role involves securing land access and supporting the management of a ~$150 million rural and residential property portfolio in Australia. 

 Key role responsibilities include: 

  • Providing data-driven analysis and making decisions that capture maximum commercial, social and environmental value for Iluka’s shareholders and stakeholders

  • Securing land access through negotiation with landowners and key stakeholders

  • Managing land and stakeholder related risks for the property portfolio and land access leases

  • Improve internal processes, systems and reporting to manage the property portfolio and land access leases

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site operations, functional teams, external stakeholders and wider industry network
     

About You

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • Minimum five years experience or relevant qualifications in environmental engineering, natural resource management, property and contract management, or agronomy

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering outcomes

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

  • Ability to work effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective integration of information

  • Strategic planning capability and business case development

  • Previous experience in land access negotiations, property management and acquisitions; and 

  • Experience working on related regulatory approvals in NSW and Victoria is advantageous

  • Experience with Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapping Software is advantageous
