For our branch in Solihull (Birmingham), we are currently looking for an experienced and highly competent Customs Brokerage Associate to join this busy and successful team, with expert knowledge in import and export customs brokerage procedures and a solid freight forwarding work history. 

What you will do:

  • Effectively manage all procedures involved with customs entries and clearances

  • Have a good understanding of import and export laws and regulations

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all stakeholders

  • Generate leads and grow the existing client base

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in customs clearance role

  • IT proficiency, ideally CargoWise1 Certified Operator/Specialist

  • Educated to a minimum GCSE standard including Maths and English

  • Excellent knowledge of law, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, political processes and agency rules

  • Excellent communication and complaint resolution skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality, on-time work

  • Great work ethic, conscientiousness, punctuality, ability to follow direction from business leaders
