The Opportunity 

We are seeking a highly detail-focused Document and Compliance Officer to join our Gaming Integrity team in Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for the governance, accuracy and ongoing maintenance of critical Gaming documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and internal control frameworks. You will act as a subject matter expert in document control, partnering closely with operational and compliance stakeholders to ensure policies, procedures and controls remain current, audit-ready and aligned to legislative and operational requirements. 

Please note, that this role requires night/weekend work as required.

 

What You'll Do 

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle management of Gaming documentation, including Workplace Guidelines (WPGs), Internal Control Statements (ICS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) 

  • Ensure all documents are accurately drafted, version controlled, approved and maintained in line with governance standards and regulatory expectations 

  • Coordinate scheduled and ad hoc document reviews, incorporating updates arising from audits, regulatory changes, incidents and operational improvements 

  • Review and interpret legislation, licence conditions, and game rules to ensure documentation reflects compliant and current operational practices 

  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies or control weaknesses in documentation and recommend practical remediation actions 

  • Maintain centralised registers and trackers, ensuring clear visibility of document status, review cycles and approvals 

  • Partner with Gaming Operations, Compliance and Integrity teams to translate business changes into clear, structured and compliant documentation 

  • Support audit and assurance activities by providing accurate documentation, tracking closure of audit actions and ensuring updates are completed on time 

What You'll Bring 

  • Demonstrated experience in document governance, policy writing or procedural control within a regulated environment gaming/casino experience will also be highly regarded. 

  • Strong working knowledge of document control frameworks, including version control, approval workflows and audit traceability 

  • Proven ability to interpret legislation, regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, practical operational procedures 

  • Advanced written communication skills with the ability to produce precise, structured and technically accurate documentation 

  • High attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps and risks across complex documentation sets 

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple document streams and competing deadlines 

  • Effective stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across operational and corporate teams to drive outcomes 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using document management or governance systems
