Job description

Work Conditions:

On the daily, you will: 

Maintenance & Equipment Repair: 

  • Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, and installation on industrial equipment and machinery; 
  • Troubleshoot various electrical issues; 
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition; 
  • Assist and support Industrial Mechanics as required.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Participate in planning and executing routine preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules; 
  • Document all maintenance tasks, repairs, time required, and parts used on work orders; 
  • Recommend improvements to reduce future breakdowns and increase equipment reliability. 

Operational Support: 

  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of lockout/tagout procedures; 
  • Source and procure parts as required;
  • Act as a point of contact for contractors and coordinate activities as needed.

Qualifications: 

  • Industrial Electrical journeyperson or Electrical journeyperson certification; 
  • Red Seal certification; 
  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician, electrician, or other relevant work;  
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues independently;
  • Computer literacy for maintenance documentation requirements;
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and adjustments.

Physical Demands: 

  • Regular standing, walking, bending, and reaching; 
  • Use of hands for handling tools, parts, and equipment; 
  • Occasional kneeling, crouching, and working in confined spaces; 
  • Regular lifting and moving of materials; items over 50 lbs require assistance or mechanical support; 
  • Visual requirements include close vision, depth perception, and ability to see details at close range; 
  • Willingness to work overtime or respond to urgent maintenance needs as required.
