Payment Network Operations (PNO) is a foundational function to ensure that Marqeta is operationally ‘paving the road’ for our Customers through our network partners. The Payment Network Operations team is made up of diverse, agile-thinking, and highly-skilled payments professionals; we use our combined capabilities to enable the organization with innovation, speed, agility, scalability and efficiency. As a Senior Analyst on the Network Numerics team, you serve as a technical specialist and process leader for payments network operations. You take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior team members, and drive process improvements across the card lifecycle. This role operates with significant autonomy and serves as a subject matter expert for complex customer scenarios.

This role will be performed in a hybrid work model (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite) from our Warsaw office. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have

This role leads complex network configurations and serves as the primary technical resource for challenging BIN management scenarios. You will take ownership of cross-functional projects and mentor team members.

In support of this objective, the Payment Network Operations Analyst for the Numerics team will:

Numeric Management

  • Primary focus will be on EU related installations, with support provided to all regions.
  • Acquire, install, manage, organize and track BINs and related numerics.
  • Act on numerics requests in support of customer onboarding and management.
  • Mentor and train team members on technical procedures and best practices.
  • Manage BIN system of record to ensure consistency with partner data.
  • Manage the decommissioning process for closed ranges.
  • Analyze trends in network reports to identify opportunities for optimization.

Payment Network Operations Support

  • Address requests with our network and issuer partners, including but not limited to data analysis and submissions.
  • Manage, combine and prioritize support tickets as assigned.
  • Provide support for team members in connection with banks, networks and/or other partners (issuer/network coordination, numerics installation and configurations).
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions to resolve challenging technical or process issues.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Proven ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
  • Take ownership and drive accountability for assigned tasks.
  • Prioritize with direction, managing and delivering on multiple projects; working with motivation against aggressive timelines.
  • Drive results with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Improve existing processes and institute new processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, decrease toil, and expand impact.

Compensation and Benefits

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in PLN, is: 160,200 - 200,200. The bonus target for this position is 10 % of the applicable base salary, subject to the plan terms and meeting eligibility requirements.
