1. Global Leadership & Organizational Transformation
- Define and execute the long-term vision for the Global Category Management function to elevate procurement’s strategic contribution to the Group.
- Lead the transformation of the category management organization from a decentralized, site-driven model to a globally aligned, category-led center of excellence.
- Build the team structure, define global roles and career pathways, and develop high-performing leaders through coaching and capability development.
- Serve as a member of the Global SCM Leadership Team, contributing to the Group’s overall supply chain strategy and transformation roadmap.
2. Strategic Direction and Governance
- Establish and institutionalize the global category strategy governance model, ensuring consistency, transparency, and alignment across divisions and regions.
- Set strategic priorities for each category, define global sourcing frameworks, and guide execution through the Global Category Managers.
- Introduce global category policies and standardized processes for supplier segmentation, risk management, total cost of ownership (TCO), and category lifecycle management.
- Sponsor the design and implementation of digital analytics dashboards for category performance and sourcing insights.
- Build an institutional knowledge base of supply market intelligence and category economics.
- Introduce advanced Source-to-Contract (S2C) tools and analytics to enhance visibility and decision-making accuracy.
3. Value Creation and Cost Leadership
- Develop and drive the Group’s global cost competitiveness strategy, focusing on price harmonization, scale leverage, and value engineering initiatives.
- Lead the global savings and productivity program by establishing cross-functional governance, tracking mechanisms, and reporting discipline.
- Oversee strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver sustained improvement in favorable PPV, Inventory Turns, and supplier performance.
4. Contracting, Risk Management, and Compliance
- Direct the development of unified global contracting frameworks, including standardized templates, master supply agreements, and category-specific clauses in collaboration with Legal.
- Implement global contract governance to ensure commercial consistency, legal protection, and traceability across entities.
- Champion supplier risk management practices, including supplier financial health monitoring, dual sourcing strategies, and business continuity planning.
5. Strategic Supplier and Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead executive-level engagement with key global and strategic suppliers, ensuring alignment on innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Align with regional and site SCM leaders to ensure category strategies translate effectively into operational execution and support customer commitments.
- Build strategic partnerships with customers where back-to-back contractual alignment is required to ensure commercial balance.
