Job description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Assistant Manager Reservations to join our dynamic hospitality team in Jaipur, India. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee daily reservations operations while supporting our Reservations Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving revenue optimization. You'll work collaboratively across multiple departments, manage complex bookings, and lead a team of reservation professionals with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and outstanding customer service.   • Oversee daily reservations operations and ensure accurate handling of bookings, amendments, and cancellations with meticulous attention to detail
  • Monitor room availability, rates, and inventory across all distribution channels to maximize occupancy and revenue
  • Ensure correct application of rate codes, packages, and promotions in compliance with organizational policies
  • Coordinate seamlessly with Front Office, Sales, Revenue Management, and Housekeeping teams to support smooth operations
  • Handle complex reservations, VIP bookings, and group allocations with professionalism and care
  • Assist in training, coaching, and motivating reservation staff to maintain high performance standards and foster a supportive team environment
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and brand compliance
  • Prepare duty rosters and support manpower planning to optimize team scheduling
  • Act as department-in-charge in the absence of the Reservations Manager, demonstrating decisive leadership
  • Support revenue optimization initiatives by upselling rooms and services while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Track pick-up reports, forecasts, and booking trends to provide actionable insights for revenue management
  • Assist in analyzing reservation data and preparing comprehensive reports for management review
  • Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests with empathy and professionalism, ensuring timely resolution
  • Maintain accurate guest profiles and ensure correct data entry in the reservations system
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports with transparency and analytical rigor
  • Maintain records, logs, and departmental documentation in an organized manner
  • Ensure compliance with audit, payment, and cancellation policies while maintaining operational integrity

**Required Skills & Competencies:**

  • Proficiency with reservations management systems and property management software (PMS)
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all operations
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to analyze data and prepare clear, actionable reports
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support team members
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Resilience and adaptability in managing changing priorities and guest needs

**Required Experience:**

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hotel reservations or front office operations
  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience handling guest inquiries and resolving complaints professionally
  • Experience with revenue management principles and yield optimization
  • Knowledge of multiple distribution channels and online booking systems

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Hospitality management certification or relevant hospitality training
  • Experience in a luxury or upscale hotel environment
  • Familiarity with hotel revenue management systems and analytics tools
  • Multilingual abilities (particularly Hindi and English)
  • Previous experience in a similar Assistant Manager role

**Domain Expertise:**

  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality standards
  • Understanding of revenue management principles and pricing strategies
  • Familiarity with booking systems, distribution channels, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of hospitality protocols and guest service excellence standards
