Job description
- Strong experience in end-to-end bid and proposal management including prequalification submissions, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, tender documentation, and final proposal. Proficient in coordinating multidisciplinary technical, commercial, planning, and project teams to prepare compliant and competitive bids. Strong understanding of commercial principles including cost estimation, pricing strategies, budgeting, financial analysis, risk assessment, and contract terms.
- Skilled in interpreting client requirements, scope of work, technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation to establish proposal strategies and baseline requirements. Knowledgeable in project controls fundamentals including cost control, planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and project performance reporting. Understands financial terminology and recognizes the impact of project decisions on cost, profitability, funding, and overall project performance.
- Experienced in analyzing financial and cost data to identify key project issues, trends, risks, and opportunities during bid development and project execution phases. Hands-on understanding of earned value monitoring, expenditure forecasting, progress trending, and cost impact assessments. Capable of evaluating manpower, labor hours, and labor cost requirements against budget constraints, including preparation of variance analyses.
- Skilled in preparing and reviewing cost forecasts, baseline budgets, and expenditure projections to support bid and project financial objectives. Experience in reviewing subcontractor commitments, purchase orders, and expenditure tracking to ensure alignment with scope and financial controls.
- Possesses strong knowledge of accounting principles and the methods used to establish, document, and monitor project financial performance. Knowledgeable in scope control, change management processes, and change order tracking to ensure management visibility and commercial awareness.
- Familiar with cost and schedule integration principles, critical path concepts, and project rescheduling methodologies. Participates in performance measurement activities, cost trending analysis, and project review meetings to support informed decision-making. Strong capability in preparing bid execution plans, deliverables matrices, proposal schedules, action trackers, and management reports. Experienced in tracking action items and coordinating stakeholders across engineering, procurement, planning, commercial, finance, and management teams
- Ideally 12 -15 years’ experience of end-to-end bid and proposal management
- Knowledgeable in project controls fundamentals including cost control, planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and project performance reporting.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles including cost estimation, pricing strategies, budgeting, financial analysis, risk assessment, and contract terms
- Ability to support and guide junior team members while maintaining collaborative and high-performance team environments. Skilled in procedure development, implementation, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple fast-track opportunities simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and company systems used for project controls, cost management, reporting, and bid coordination.
