Work Schedule: Day shift hours with rotating weekends

What You'll Do
Position Responsibilities
•
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens using evidence-based medicine and standards of care.
•
Support hospital performance on national quality indicators, with a strong focus on the admission medication process.
•
Provide educational in-services to clinical staff.
•
Develop policies and processes to enhance departmental operations and workflow efficiency.
•
Participate in at least one departmental or hospital committee.
•
Precept pharmacy students and/or residents, contributing to clinical education and training.
Role Breakdown
•
Direct patient care: 60%
•
Order verification & distribution: 20%
•
Education: 15%
•
Administrative duties: 5%
What We're Looking For
- Education : 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification.
- PharmD, preferred.
- Experience : Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR two years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy. Oncology experience preferred for oncology roles, required.
- For Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship roles: ASHP - accredited PGY2 Infectious Disease residency OR minimum of 2 years of equivalent clinical pharmacy experience in infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Current Pharmacy licensure in appropriate state(s) or must be completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity, required.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other approved certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Other duties as outlined in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team.
