Resumen Is responsible for supporting the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of products and engineering solutions. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Engineering, to ensure products meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, cost objectives, and manufacturability requirements. Responsabilidades Mains Responsibilities: Support the design and development of new products, components, and engineering solutions. Create and maintain 3D models, engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation. Participate in product design reviews and engineering change activities. Assist in the development and validation of prototypes and production-ready designs. Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design verification activities. Support product testing, validation, and qualification processes. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly. Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and product launches. Investigate product performance issues and assist in implementing design improvements. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in compliance with company standards. Support cost reduction, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate engineering changes and ensure proper documentation through the Engineering Change Request (ECR/ECO) process. Work closely with suppliers to evaluate components and support technical problem resolution. Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field. Experience 0–3 years of engineering experience in product design, product development, manufacturing, or a related field. Experience in a manufacturing or maquiladora environment preferred. Internship or co-op experience in engineering is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic knowledge of product design and development processes. Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines. Intermediate to advanced English communication skills preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting refrigeration, HVAC, sheet metal, electrical assemblies, or mechanical systems. Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
