Position Overview:
The Manager, Sales Planning (Wholesale) is responsible for leading the development of strategic assortment and sales plans that drive growth across the Wholesale channel. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Production, Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and key wholesale accounts to deliver profitable, regionally relevant assortments. The Manager will oversee the end-to-end sales planning process across sell-in, forecasting, inventory management, and in-season performance, ensuring alignment with both internal objectives and external partner needs.
About The Role:
- Lead the development of wholesale assortment plans by account and region, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, distribution targets, and account-specific needs
- Partner closely with Sales teams to support pre-market, post-market, and all other market processes, including assortment strategy, SKU rationalization, and sell-in targets
- Build and manage account-level and regional sales forecasts, aligning with long-range plans (LRP) and financial targets
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, and Procurement to ensure assortments are executable against capacity, lead times, and delivery windows
- Partner with accounts to understand regional performance, clustering, category penetration, and pricing architectures to maximize productivity
- Influence product line architecture to support wholesale needs while maintaining brand integrity and tiering strategies
- Lead post-market recaps and drive revisions to assortments, forecasts, and production commitments based on sell-in results
- Monitor account performance, sell-through, and in-season trends; proactively identify risks and opportunities by account and region
- Optimize inventory flow and allocation across wholesale partners, ensuring strong in-season performance and clean exit strategies
- Manage timelines across market milestones, order deadlines, and production handoffs
- Coach and develop team members while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration
About Tou:
- 7+ years of experience in sales planning, merchandise planning, or wholesale planning (global experience strongly preferred)
- Prior management or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience working with wholesale accounts and multi-channel distribution models
- Familiarity with assortment planning and forecasting tools
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong analytical capabilities
- Deep understanding of wholesale business models, including sell-in/sell-through dynamics
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance account needs and brand strategy
- Excellent product sensibility and understanding of assortment architecture
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to present and communicate clearly across all levels, including senior leadership and external partners
- Knowledge of product development, production, and delivery timelines
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
