The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of MBPS Actuarial Consulting and Program Management, the Actuarial Business Manager plays a critical role in driving the performance management and governance of the MBPS Actuarial function. This role partners closely with actuarial leadership and enterprise stakeholders to drive operational excellence, deliver actionable insights, and support the continued growth and scalability of one of the largest actuarial shared services organizations in the region.
Established in 2012, MBPS Actuarial has grown into a global center of excellence with over 200 professionals supporting Valuation, Asset & Liability Modelling, Experience Analytics, Pricing, and other core actuarial services.

Position Responsibilities
Business Management
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Relationship, Workforce Management, Finance, L&D) to enable delivery of actuarial services in line with operational and governance commitments
- Drive performance management of the actuarial function through defined metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Synthesize insights from operational and business data to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities
Governance
- Lead monthly and quarterly performance reporting, including analysis of trends, variances, and key drivers
- Develop and maintain performance metrics aligned with global actuarial and enterprise standards
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to address risks and improve outcomes
Planning & Portfolio Management
- Facilitate the annual and multi-year strategic planning process for the actuarial function, including roadmap development
- Partner with leadership, HR, and workforce management teams to enable effective onboarding, scaling, and transition of work
- Support prioritization and tracking of initiatives across the actuarial portfolio
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
- 5-8+ years of experience in actuarial services, business management, or operational leadership
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a dynamic environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in performance reporting, governance, or shared services operations
- Experience with data tools (Excel, Power BI or similar)
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or COPC
- Progress toward actuarial designation
