Bank Mendes Gans (BMG) exclusively engages in cash pooling and netting for multinationals. BMG allows corporate treasurers to maximize liquidity and gain control of all cash flows. Job description
As a business analyst in Payments you work on realizing our Payments Vision. You will be part of the Payments team and make sure that BMG complies to the latest payments standards, centralizing the payments logic, and making payments initiation at BMG more attractive for our clients. The Product Owner, together with the Customer Journey Expert, leads and manages the end-to-end customer journey design, development and implementations in this field. As a business analyst, you are the person who processes, interprets and documents business processes, products, services and software through analysis of data. The role of a business analyst is to ensure our business efficiency increases through their knowledge of both IT and business function.
You will work on continuous improving our services in close alignment with our stakeholders including ING. You initiate and implement payments improvements in the customer journeys and customer experience.
In addition, you have tangible experience with process improvement and you are able to stand for the quality and development of your product based on a clear vision.
What are you going to do
In daily close collaboration with your squad and business representatives you are continuously working on designing, developing and implementing improvements based on fact-based (customer) insights. Including that successful propositions and improvements are implemented and secured in our processes. The technique to organize the customer journey and is in full development. You will ensure that this technique is continuously improved so that the BMG employees can immediately facilitate customer requests.
Who are you?

You like doing that with multidisciplinary team(s) and jointly taking responsibility for realizing the purpose of your squad. At the same time, you find it important that everyone has their own responsibility and that you can apply your own expertise for the end result. Customer perspective is your primary driver.
- You think and work at a Master’s level.
- You are analytically strong and can structure complex problems. Furthermore, your analysis gives a clear view on potential for improvement and out-of-the-box thinking comes natural to you.
- You have payments knowledge of the wholesale banking industry
- You have experience with payments topics, such as Target2, Swift CBPR+, ISO Migration (MTMX), SEPA Instant/Classic Payments
- Having experience with Temenos back-office applications is a preference
- You have a track record of timely and correct execution of multidisciplinary complex deliveries
- You have affinity with IT
- You strive to bring fresh ideas to life and embrace challenges in a fast changing and complex environment.
- You are a naturally collaborative person who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals.
- Hands-on experience in agile delivery methodology
- You translate qualitative insights into relevant and impactful propositions and improvements; This enables you to connect different disciplines within BMG
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Knowledge of BMG's products and processes is a preference
