THE HIGH LEVEL
Iron Bow Technologies is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Director of National Security Sales to lead business development, customer engagement, and revenue growth across the U.S. National Security market. This executive-level leader will be responsible for expanding Iron Bow's presence within the Department of War (DOW), Intelligence Community (IC), and related national security agencies by developing trusted customer relationships, identifying mission-focused technology solutions, and driving successful business outcomes.
The Director will serve as a key leader in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, managing strategic partnerships, and collaborating across sales, engineering, contracts, and executive leadership teams to achieve growth objectives.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE?
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive National Security growth strategy aligned with Iron Bow's corporate objectives.
- Identify emerging mission requirements, market trends, and technology opportunities within the National Security sector.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with government leaders, acquisition officials, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic guidance to executive leadership.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and capture activities across assigned accounts.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities supporting National Security customers.
- Lead account planning efforts and develop strategies to expand existing customer relationships.
- Collaborate with capture, proposal, and contracts teams to position Iron Bow for success on strategic opportunities.
- Meet or exceed assigned bookings, revenue, and profitability targets.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customer executives and mission leaders.
- Understand customer mission challenges and align Iron Bow solutions to address operational and strategic objectives.
- Lead executive briefings, customer engagements, and strategic planning sessions.
Partner & Solution Development
- Strengthen relationships with key OEM and technology partners.
- Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams to develop innovative offerings that address National Security requirements.
- Support the development of differentiated solutions across cloud, cybersecurity, AI, networking, data center, and managed services portfolios.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and support account executives, business development professionals, and cross-functional teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer success.
- Contribute to talent development and succession planning within the National Security business.
YOUR VALUE PROP FOR OUR TEAM
- 18+ years of progressive experience in Federal sales, business development, capture management, or account leadership.
- 15+ years supporting Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or National Security customers.
- Demonstrated success achieving revenue growth and winning strategic opportunities within the Federal market.
- Strong understanding of Federal acquisition processes, contract vehicles, and procurement strategies.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain executive-level customer relationships.
- Experience developing and executing strategic account plans.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent).
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
- Experience with enterprise IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, AI/ML, networking, and managed services.
- Existing relationships within key National Security agencies and industry partners.
- Experience working with leading technology manufacturers and strategic alliances.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- This position is based in the National Capital Region (Virginia, Maryland, DC) and requires up to 50% travel.
