Position Purpose:
The primary role of this position is to develop and support business intelligence and ensure data quality with our customers. Our customers are business users internal to The Home Depot. In this role you will apply techniques and methods that are appropriate, effective and leading-edge with the support of others.
Key Responsibilities:
30% Developing data intelligence and in-house knowledge on competitive pricing and assortment
20% Building data quality reports and developing a system to automatically monitor key metrics and generate alerts
20% Ongoing data quality review and prioritizing data for review
30% Works closely with BL internal and SSC Business teams to fix any data quality issues, answer data related questions and optimize/provide feedback on BL Tools and data. These questions and requests will come through a support queue (Zendesk) and must be able to respond in a professional and timely manner.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Reports to a Manager/ Sr Manager.
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Statistics, Economics, MIS or another quantitative subject.
Knowledge in SQL, Python, Java or another computer language.
Familiarity with a support queue (Zendesk, JIRA, etc.)
Experience using statistics, data mining, computer programming or related disciplines.
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
