Job Summary:

Looking for a Psychiatry role where you can practice meaningful medicine—with balance, support, and impact?

Join our team in Indianapolis as a Psychiatrist, where you’ll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships while working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model.

In addition to providing direct care, you’ll contribute to staff education, program development, and community behavioral health initiatives—helping expand access to care across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care & Treatment

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients with mental health and/or substance use conditions
  • Deliver ongoing medication management and follow-up care
  • Support individuals with co-occurring conditions, including intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Participate in crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric services as needed

Collaborative Care & Leadership

  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Participate in case staffing and treatment planning discussions
  • Provide consultation and clinical guidance to internal teams and external partners
  • Support and mentor Nurse Practitioners, fellows, residents, and students

Program & Community Impact

  • Participate in program development, evaluation, and improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to grant-related activities and organizational growth efforts
  • Engage in public behavioral health education and community outreach
  • Support data collection, reporting, and quality improvement processes

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development
  • Participate in voluntary, compensated on-call rotation (if applicable)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse patient populations
  • Ability to explain complex clinical information clearly to patients, families, and staff
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable working in outpatient and community-based settings

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain)
