About This Academic Tutoring Role This is a pure academic instruction role — no childcare, transportation, or household duties. You'll provide structured 1:1 tutoring sessions focused on 4th grade math, writing, and executive function skills. The family is looking for an educator who designs the learning experience, not someone who supervises homework completion. Academic Tutor Responsibilities Arrive to each session with a prepared instructional plan Deliver structured 1:1 academic tutoring in math, writing, and organizational skills Design and maintain a 4th grade learning curriculum tailored to Jake's specific gaps Teach executive function and study skills — not just task completion Submit a written weekly progress summary covering session content, student performance, and upcoming goals Communicate proactively with the family about what's working and what needs adjustment Build consistent rapport that keeps Jake motivated and on track
