Job description

The Business Development Manager; Data Centres will be a dedicated resource for our Iberia operations. This role involves working closely with the leads for our Data Centre Business, and other internal stakeholders to drive business growth and expand market opportunities in Spain and Portugal.

The core mandate of this role is to accelerate growth, expand market share, and firmly establish our position as the leading consultancy in Spain and Portugal.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and develop new connections with potential clients across the Data Centre sector.
  • Business Development, Strategy & Pipeline Management:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with company objectives.
    • Advise on innovative approaches and value propositions to enhance competitiveness.
    • Work with leadership to monitor and manage the opportunity pipeline, ensuring proactive focus on priority areas.
  • Bid & Proposal Support:
    • Collaborate with bid teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations.
    • Provide insights on client needs and market trends to strengthen bid strategies.
    • Review and refine draft bids to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client expectations.
    • Drive high standards of bid quality; acting as bid director for major pursuits and ensuring top tier quality.
    • Actively contribute to the development of proposal templates for different types of services, clients and projects
  • Relevant degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development within professional services, ideally in a mission critical built environment sector.
  • Proven success in winning work, shaping client opportunities, and driving business development.
  • Proactive, detail driven, and hands on, with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage clients and senior management; fluent in Spanish and English.
