To strengthen our company portfolio we are searching for a highly motivated Business Development Representative to map M&A opportunities in Indonesia.

As a M&A Business Development Representative you will identify M&A prospects. You will search, contact and call valuable M&A prospects, who have built an attractive business, to increase the M&A pipeline for the long term. You have the opportunity of conversing with experienced entrepreneurs of M&A target companies.

As a M&A Business Development Representative you contribute in the pre-acquisition business activities in order to grow our company portfolio in Indonesia and surrounding countries. You will find and reach out to companies in the software sector.

Activities will include mapping, analyzing and registering vertical market software companies and initiating contact (via email, cold call, phone, video calling or otherwise) with potential M&A targets in Indonesia and surrounding countries.

You will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. You are also part of a broader international M&A team.

As a M&A Business Developer you will contribute in the pre-acquisition business activities in order to grow our company’s portfolio. You will represent the first contact in the M&A acquisition process: You find and reach out to companies in the software sector. 

What will you be doing?

  • Grow our M&A prospect database in Indonesia.
  • Initiate outbound prospecting (cold, phone and video) calls, email and social media.
  • Use Marketing and CRM data to build relationships with key-stakeholders and maintain them.
  • Follow up on outbound and inbound M&A prospect activities in a timely manner.
  • Conduct first line interactions with companies (primarily by telephone and face to face), in order to qualify potential targets.
  • Document meetings/ interactions in form of notes, interactions and administer efforts in Salesforce (our CRM system).

Dedicated, entrepreneurial and progressive?

The ideal candidate is representative and has excellent communication skills, a fair degree of financial literacy and strong analytical skills. You feel comfortable conversing with experienced entrepreneurs and target company managing directors. We seek someone who is entrepreneurial and proactive in their mindset, yet also methodological in their approach.

Beyond that?

  • Independent & proactive worker, who can also work in a team.
  • Commercial skills and sales affinity, ability to establish contact with senior executives at M&A target companies who are unfamiliar with our company.
  • Ability to work on targets and eagerness to learn.
  • Able to write professional e-mails in Bahasa Indonesia and English language and has good telephone skills.
  • Experienced in (online) research.

Your requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree preferably but not mandatory in Business Administration, Economics/Accounting, Sales, Commercial Sciences, or Marketing Management.
  • 3+ years’ experience in business development or sales roles.
  • Fluent in (Business) Bahasa Indonesia language and English
  • Available to work 40 hours per week
