💻 Work Style: Onsite 📍 Location: Leesburg, FL 🕒 FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE) ⏰ Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Develops and implements annual community engagement plan, including all community outreach programs supporting

Community Benefit Reporting and Community Health Needs Assessment activities, community seminars, health screenings and

events, physician seminars (Doc Talks), community expos, external sponsorships and employee engagement activities and events.

Assists with management and coordination of marketing and advertising activities for UF Health Central Florida, as it relates to

community relations activities. Positively represents UF Health Central Florida throughout the community.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate community relations functions for staff and volunteer team for; health fairs, physicians, community engagement events and all external community events and engagement.
  • Manage and coordinate community outreach activities and health screenings, coordinating with organization partnersand internal groups, enrolling internal departments to support these activities and ensuring appropriate signage, displays and information is available at these events.
  • Plan and coordinate community events related to groundbreaking, ribbon-cutting, open house and other eventsdesigned to introduce UFHCF services and providers to the public
  • Manage all invite lists & VIP lists for events, maintain records of attendees, and create a community list of interestedindividuals for invitation to future events and email marketing.
  • Direct nonprofit participation with team members (Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, etc.)
  • Review, coordinate and communicate sponsorship requests & needs on behalf of organization.
  • Connect and build relationships with local nonprofit entities, chambers of commerce, Rotary, etc.
  • Coordinate development of annual Community Benefit Report.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate speaking engagements in the community on the organization’s behalf as needed.
  • Act as liaison between department and hospital committees as needed. Provide support on an as-needed basis forinternal events.
  • Perform tours of the organization on behalf of Administration to outside groups and individuals as needed.
  • Represent the organization at community events and on community volunteer boards as needed.
  • Meet all deadlines while writing clearly and effectively, and with a professional and positive style.
  • Partner with community blood center to organize blood drives.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Two (2) years of experience in health promotion, wellness program management, health communications, public health, or a related field, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating wellness programs, health education initiatives, and community outreach campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a hospital, health system, academic medical center, or public health organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing, communications, clinical, and community stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of population health, employee wellness strategies, and community health engagement initiatives.
