Keysight Technologies, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for a Semiconductor Process Development Engineer -- Lithography at the High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC) in Santa Rosa, California. Live in beautiful Sonoma County amongst vineyards, redwood forests, rivers, lakes and coastline while working on state-of-the-art ICs and devices. HFTC invents and delivers world-leading compound semiconductor and integration technology in our fabrication facilities located in Santa Rosa. Our team enables Keysight product leadership through semiconductor innovation for differentiated performance.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on manufacturing sustainability and R&D support for semiconductor lithography process engineering and related semiconductor fabrication processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and manage lithography processes and associated equipment, supporting both development activities and high-volume manufacturing for III-V semiconductor technologies.
  • Lead capital equipment projects, including tool selection, evaluation, characterization, process development, and qualification.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with process, integration, product, and circuit design engineers to define process capabilities and achieve device performance targets.
  • Develop and optimize process flows, introduce new lithography processes, and lead continuous process improvement (CPI) initiatives to maximize yield and efficiency.
  • Ensure successful transfer of new technologies into manufacturing, maintaining process stability while meeting performance, reliability, and production goals.
  • Partner with Operations to implement robust process controls, sustain production processes, and troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and expertise with lithography process development in one or more of the following areas: Coating tracks, exposure tools, overlay metrology and CD-SEM measurements.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills for measurement anomalies and tool‑drift issues
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) is required.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of professional, hands-on experience with development and/or maintaining semiconductor processes and equipment.
  • Recent graduates with extensive cleanroom and experimental background will also be considered.
  • Candidates must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional interactions.
  • Strong accountability, self-initiative and proactive attitude are required for success.
