The Opportunity This is a true Line 2 role, sitting within our Legal & Compliance team — focused on oversight, assurance, and continuous improvement. You’ll be working across the business to: Assess how well controls are operating Identify risks and gaps before they become issues Provide clear, practical insights to leaders Help shape and evolve our compliance frameworks It’s a role with real visibility and influence, including regular engagement with senior leaders and governance committees. What We’re Looking For We’re keen to hear from people who bring: 5+ years’ experience in compliance, audit, or risk within financial services Strong understanding of the NZ regulatory environment, ideally financial advice A sharp eye for detail — able to spot risks, trends, and systemic issues Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presenting to senior team members Confidence to challenge and influence across all levels of the business Backgrounds we often see succeed in this role include: Insurance or insurance broking Broader financial services (banking, wealth, advisory) Big 4 or consultancy with audit/risk/compliance exposure About Aon At Aon, we shape decisions for the better — helping protect and grow businesses around the world.
