Head of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer – Aon Ireland Limited (PCF 12 and PCF 52) Are you an experienced compliance professional with an insurance background? Are you interested in joining Aon where you can support our compliance culture within Aon Ireland Limited (AIL) whilst acting as the key compliance business partner for Aon’s Commercial Risk and Health Solution Lines based in Ireland? If so, this may be the role for you! Reporting into the Ireland Head of Law & Compliance, the successful applicant will act as Head of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for AIL. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office. What the day will look like Provide Law and Compliance advice to the Commercial Risk and Health solution lines under AIL comprising advice, guidance and challenge. Be commercially minded, pragmatic and practical with a strong ethical compass Provide assurance, guidance and evidence to the AIL Board that all risk and regulatory matters are being appropriately managed and overseen in line with regulatory requirements and expectations Provide regular and timely compliance reporting and management information to the Ireland Head of Law and Compliance, AIL Board, Senior Management and other relevant forums Ensure that all regulatory reports and notifications are submitted to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) on a timely basis and in accordance with CBI expectations. Lead and implement a robust risk-based monitoring programme, record and communicate findings appropriately Assist in developing the Compliance Framework across all Aon Ireland entities Assist with the implementation of an effective compliance communication and training plan consistent with Aon’s global compliance training and communication initiatives to ensure that compliance policies and procedures are successfully cascaded to colleagues Keep abreast of current compliance and regulatory risks, as well as changes to the local regulatory environment and best practices which may affect Aon Ireland and the compliance programme Identify and interpret relevant requirements/changes in order to provide advice and support to colleagues to enable them to comply Ensure that issues raised by Internal Audit, External Audit and any other similar bodies are remediated Responsibility for financial crime controls as part of PCF52 responsibilities; working with the UK Financial Crime team Assist where required with broader initiatives within the wider Aon Ireland Solution lines and on a regional level. How this opportunity is different This is an opportunity to operate at all levels of the Aon Commercial Risk, and Law and Compliance organisations in Ireland. The successful applicant will be the point of contact and liaison with the CBI and other relevant regulatory authorities in respect of AIL, and maintain an effective working relationship whilst providing ongoing advice and counsel on compliance, risk and local regulatory matters in conjunction with specialist colleagues such as Financial Crime, Privacy and Legal Counsel etc. Skills and experience that will lead to success Someone who has strong experience in Insurance and is capable of stepping into their first PCF role or currently holds a PCF 12 role Licensed Compliance Officer (LCI) qualifications (or equivalent). Strong academic background demonstrating analytical ability and capacity for handling regulatory frameworks. Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Insurance Distribution Regulations, CBI requirements and Codes of Business Conduct An understanding of the Investment Intermediaries Act would be useful No requirement to be a qualified lawyer as there is a Legal team in the UK that supports.
