- Bailey Medical Center offers a full range of medical services, including general surgery, maternity, gynecology, bariatrics, orthopedics and emergency care. The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region.
- The Polysomnographic Technologist performs various polysomnograms and other sleep disorder tests under the direction of the Sleep Lab Medical Director.
- Responsible for electrode attachment and monitoring of patients who are participating in a sleep study.
- Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the physician.
- Responsible for CPAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable.
- Scores reports.
Job Requirements
- Technical/Vocational training.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required upon hire.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- The Technologist should be able to use the AASM Inter Scorer Reliability program scoring 200 pages of a Sleep Record each month with scoring graded by the AASM.
Preferred Job Requirements
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
