Pay Rate: £12.71 – £12.80 per hour

We are seeking compassionate, experienced, and person-centred female support workers to join a dedicated team supporting a wonderful lady with learning disabilities, complex care needs, mobility needs, and behavioural risks.
Our client enjoys an active and meaningful lifestyle and thrives when supported by carers who take the time to understand her preferences, routines, communication style, and individual needs. She enjoys getting out in the community every day, baking, knitting, puzzles, shopping, and being actively involved in all aspects of her daily life.
Accessing the community is an essential part of her support and well-being, mklm. Successful applicants must be confident drivers who are happy to support regular outings, appointments, shopping trips, leisure activities, and community engagement using the client's Motability vehicle.
Shift Pattern
We can offer between 30–40 hours per week , comprising a mixture of:
- Primarily evening shifts: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
- Overnight shifts: 10:00pm – 8:30am
- Occasional day shifts: 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Possible weekend working
Applicants must be able to undertake sleep-in shifts , commencing at 5:00pm .
The Role
You will provide support with
- Personal care, bathing, dressing, and continence care
- Safe moving and handling using mobility equipment and walking aids
- Medication administration
- Meal planning and preparation in accordance with dietary requirements
- Supporting daily community access, social activities, appointments, shopping trips, and meaningful engagement opportunities
- Driving the client's Motability vehicle to enable safe and regular access to the community
- Supporting communication and decision-making in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Promoting independence and involvement in all daily living activities
- Recording and reporting behavioural observations and incidents where required
- Supporting emotional well-being and responding appropriately to periods of anxiety, agitation, or distress
Essential Requirements
✅ Full UK Driving Licence and confidence driving a Motability vehicle (small van)
✅ Willingness to drive regularly as part of the role
✅ Minimum 12 months' experience supporting adults with
- Learning disabilities
- Autism
- Complex care needs
- Behaviours of concern
✅ Strong understanding of
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Person-Centred Care
- Safeguarding Adults

Support workers must therefore be proactive in planning and facilitating outings, activities, and opportunities that promote choice, independence, social inclusion, and quality of life.
