Job description

A warm and welcoming family based in Tannay, Switzerland, is seeking an experienced Rota Nanny to care for their three children aged 2 months, 3 years, and 5 years.

The role focuses primarily on the baby, while also providing a supportive, nurturing, and educational presence for the two older children before and after school and activities.

The family is looking for a highly professional nanny with a strong background in child development and education, capable of establishing consistent routines, providing high-quality care, and working closely with the parents to ensure continuity in the children's upbringing. Candidates holding a Norland Diploma are particularly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive daily care for the infant, including feeding, sleep routines, hygiene, and developmental stimulation.
  • Create a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for all three children.
  • Establish and maintain structured routines adapted to each child's age and needs.
  • Organize engaging, age-appropriate educational and developmental activities.
  • Support the children's emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Assist with school and activity routines for the older children.
  • Promote positive behaviour through a kind, consistent, and age-appropriate approach.
  • Work collaboratively with the parents to ensure continuity of care and educational values.
  • Manage nursery-related duties and children's organization.
  • Travel with the family when required.

Schedule

  • Rota position (schedule to be discussed with the family and the successful candidate).
  • Flexibility required, including occasional travel.

Candidate Profile

  • Valid EU passport or Swiss work permit.
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Teaching, or a related field.
  • Norland Diploma highly desirable.
  • Significant experience caring for infants and multiple young children simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of child development and educational practices.
  • Knowledge of Montessori principles would be an advantage.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of working autonomously.
  • Able to establish clear routines and provide structure.
  • Professional, discreet, and flexible.
  • Fluent in English and/or French.
  • Driving licence is a plus.
