Schedule: Nights, 7pm - 7am
- Documents work order requests for any equipment that is not functioning properly and practices infection control standards.
- Plans and manages time to accurately perform and enter all required quality control, patient radionuclide and/or contrast administration data, and exam charges by the end of each workday.
- Assists in inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and performing surveying process as well as maintaining stocked exam rooms with necessary supplies.
- Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine and CT procedures, demonstrating proficiency with camera acquisition, scanners, injectors, and computer processing.
- Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before continuing with patient examination.
- Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
- Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
- Explains procedures to patients and aseptically administers radionuclide and/or contrast using standard precautions and PPE.
- Ensures equipment meets all quality control requirements and performs patient examinations using age-specific care techniques.
- Performs high-quality imaging examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Presents completed exams and patient historical data to radiologist/cardiologist for review and assists with image manipulation or additional imaging as requested.
- Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
- Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of human physiology [Required]
- Knowledge of Scintigraphic equipment, Acquisition Computers, and processing stations [Required]
- Knowledge of Hot Lab Equipment [Required]
- Knowledge of NM and CT procedures [Required]
- Knowledge of NM and CT scanners [Required]
- Knowledge of CT safety including radiation protection [Required]
- Ability to learn and master new tasks related to image quality and radiation safety [Required]
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of diverse backgrounds [Required]
- General computer and PACS skills [Preferred]
- Basic IV competency [Preferred]
- General physics and anatomy knowledge [Preferred]
- Knowledge of PET procedures [Preferred]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
- Associate [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$31.55 - $58.69Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
