Overview

We are seeking CNC Machinists to join our precision manufacturing shop, serving the aerospace, defense, and medical industries.

We’re hiring experienced CNC Setup Mill Machinists to join a precision machine shop serving the aerospace, defense, and medical industries. This is not an operator position. We’re looking for machinists who can own the entire setup process, from interpreting blueprints and selecting tooling to proving out the first part and making offsets before releasing a job into production.

Compensation

  • $30 - 40 / hr total comp

Shift

  • 1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm
  • Monday - Friday
  • Optional overtime available

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) + match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete setups on 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Select tooling, load offsets, and prepare machines for production.
  • Prove out first articles and make program or offset adjustments as needed.
  • Verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Produce high-quality parts while maintaining tight aerospace tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of CNC setup experience, more experience preferred.
  • Experience setting up CNC milling machines (3, 4, or 5-axis).
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc controls and G-code.
  • Strong understanding of tooling, work offsets, and first-piece inspection.
  • Comfortable using traditional precision measuring equipment, not just digital gauges.
  • Experience machining aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-precision components is highly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
