Blaster Helper

What You'll Be Doing

• Support licensed blasters with underground drilling and blasting activities while following all safety protocols
• Prepare blast areas by handling tools, materials, and equipment needed for daily operations
• Assist with loading, stemming, and securing blast sites under direct supervision
• Conduct routine inspections, housekeeping, and maintenance to ensure safe underground conditions
• Communicate clearly with team members to ensure efficient, safe production activities

• Demonstrated ability to work safely in underground mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures and instructions
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks in confined and physically demanding settings
• Willingness to learn blasting operations and support production goals as part of a team
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to work varying shifts as operationally required

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level
