The Content organization at Ancestry is looking for a Lead Analyst. You are an individual contributor that expects to grow into a leadership role over time. You will participate in annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis. You will work with the content acquisition team, imaging team, indexing team, and publishing team to improve Ancestry content production.
The Content organization at Ancestry takes pride in finding unique historical records from around the globe and converting them into meaningful and searchable formats that serve as a wealth of information for our family history customers. We are a team that provides millions of new unique records to Ancestry customers each year. Ancestry is the global leader in family history and more than 20 billion records have been added to the site over the past two decades.
What You Will Do
- You will create new reports from scratch while automating and streamlining existing reports
- You will present reports to senior management and work with individual contributors, tailoring your communication style accordingly
- You will bring solutions to the team and help co-workers
- You will be a power user of Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
- You will need high-level proficiency with SQL-based query languages and relational data concepts
- Competent with Data Warehouses and Data table creation
- You have a working knowledge of accounting, finance, accruals, reversals, and capital expenditures
Who You Are
- 3+ years of professional analytical experience
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field
- Experience finding distinct data sources, pulling data, and organizing data in a way that tells a clear story to assist the management team in making business-critical decisions
- Experience with enterprise reporting and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
- Experience leading and coordinating broad business reviews
- FP&A experience
- Passion for family history #LI-SW1
